


2007 News
(Aug. 7th)Mean Marc was struck with a pipe causing several lacerations including one on the eyelid which required 5 stitches. Swelling & bruising are also present. More news will be reported if it breaks. Right now, Ash still plans to do battle with Ivan Koloff on Aug. 18th.
(May 5th) Ash ventured to GOUGE & used the gimmick of Little Boss Man against Nemesis who was using the gimmick Exotic Aloysious Street. The match teetered back & forth until Ash his his patented sit down power bomb & Cold Cash D playing Leory Zbyzsko emerged. Ash then hammered Cash & turned around to be struck in the face with Nemesis' pimp stick. Nemesis got the 3 count & the win. Look for a rematch in the near future.
(Apr. 28th) The Mean One & his manager Damn Yankee tangeld with 1/2 of the UPWA tag champs Dave Dawson. Ash & Dawson had a back & forth battle that ended in a double disqualification. Ash & his North/South Connection parter Andrew Anderson will battle both Dave & Zane Dawson for the UPWA tag titles on June 9th in Wilmington, NC.
(Mar. 17th) Ash was in Melville, NY for the wedding of longtime ICW EVP Pete Noel.
(Feb. 9th) Mean Marc Ash & Andrew Anderson debuted as the North/South Connection & issued a beatdown to Wilmington favorite The Beats
(Jan. 13th) Mean Marc Ash issued a verbal berating to Sexton Tyler & then to the town of Wilmington, NC. Dark Starr emerged to defend Wilmington & that led to a match later in the evening, Ash defeated Starr when he locked in a Boston Crab, Starr refused to submit which led to interference from Starr's partner Solitude.
2006 News
(Jan. 7th)Mean Marc Ash battled Viper in the quarterfinals of the thournament to crown the first UPWA heavyweight champion.
2005 News
(Nov. 7th)Mean Marc Ash is mentioned on a KISS website www.kissasylum.com featuring his cover version of KISS's Rock and Roll All Nite. As the site archives news a screen copy can be seen at Asylum Screen CAption
(August 5th) The Mean One is still down from the pinched nerve & had to cancel his match with WCEW for Aug. 6th. Ash's doctor has advised him to sit out out at least 2 weeks. Ash has stated he doesn't plan to return to action until September.
(August 1st) Mean Marc Ash awoke on the morning with severe pain in his neck & upper back. The prognosis is a pinched nerve.
(July 31st) Mean Marc Ash wrestled "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff in their 4th Russian chain battle. Ash won the match by using a foreign object which referee Joey Upchurch discovered & ordered the match restarted. Koloff then got the advantage & the win.
(July 16th) Ash was called out by referee/part time wrestler Adam Brookshire. A "match" ensued that saw Ash just pummel Brookshire from pillow to post. Ash the later on teamed with Solitude, subbing for the injured Dark Starr, in a 4 way double elimination match for the UPWA tag titles. Ash was disqualified under questionable circumstances by referee Adam Brookshire.
(July 9th) Mean Marc made his deubut in the WCEW promotion in Hamlet, NC. After a hard fought match that saw interference from Tyrone Knox and Tito Rains, Ali Steele got the pinfall.
(July 6th) Mean Marc Ash battled Steve Michaels in ACPW action in Clinton, NC.
(July 3rd) The Mean One returned to Myrtle Beach, SC for Coastal Extreme Wrestling. Ash battled long time nemesis Tre G. Ash was victorius following a sit down powerbomb.
(July 2nd) Mean Marc was involved in a cage match in the ACPW. He battled ACPW TV champion Sik Wit it. Mean Marc was unsuccessful in his bid to win the ACPW TV title.
(June 18th)Mean Marc teamed with Draven in ACPW action against East Coast Bodily Harm. It was fast paced & brutal action that saw Mean Marc with a bloody nose. That didn't stop the Mean One as the macth was ruled a double count out when the referee lost control of the match!
(May 1st)Mean Marc Ash has been cast in the upcoming Swirl Films/Screen Gems film "Dead Heist". Ash will be playing a zombie in the "undead/bank robbery". Ash will be involved with the shooting in Wilmington on Thursday May 5th.
(March 15th) Ash is preparing for his LAST ICW title defense on March 19th. It will be his last title defense because win, lose, or draw it is the last ever ICW show. Ash is preparing for a second bout with BloodLust. Ash barely escaped with the title intact at their last meeting & this re-match should be no less violent!
(Feb. 5th) Mean Marc returned to the ring in IWA action. This is first appearance for the IWA & in Saratoga in almost 3 years. Ash stated in the days following the match that his back had flared back up & he would once again be on the shelf.
2004 News
(Nov. 14th) Mean Marc is preparing for his MRI by eating some homemade spaghetti with his own secret recipe for the sauce! Ash will do the MRI, attend church, rest in the hot tub, & hit the gym for another bike ride & upper body universal machine workout. Since the stretching & work outs seem to be lesseing the pain, he has stated that depending on the results of this MRI, he may be pondering a return to ring action!!
(Nov 13th) Ash could not see the chiropractor to be stretched today. However, Ash returned to the gym & rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes & did a light leg workout on a universal machine. The added exercise seems to be helping to lessen the pain. Not to mention the several hours that Ash has spent in his hot tub over the last 5 days.
(Nov. 12th) Ash saw the chiropractor again today & is feeling much better after having been stretched in the painful region which appears to have relieved some of the pressure. Ash decided to press his luck & entered the gym, riding an stationary bike & doing a lite universal machine upper body workout. His Neurosurgeon has ordered another MRI to be taken on Sunday.
(Nov. 11th) Ash is currently on bedrest with his bulging disc problems. The pain increased severly over the night. Ash who has not worked out inside the gym since early June looks currently like a shell of his former self. He is in a great deal of pain. Ash has decided to return to the care of his chiropractor as it appears that a nerve is pinching off.
(Oct. 2nd) It's Mean Marc's birthday & he wrestled for the ACCW promotion what was to be Mean Marc's retirement match. He went out victorious against Trailer Park Heat.
(June 22) Mean Marc Ash underwent a second epidural procedure for a bulging disc at the L5/S1 vertebrae in the spine. Ash has been dealing with the pain from this disc for quite sometime. Over the past 2 years he has endured physical therapy and chiropractic with limited success. He is not planning to miss any ring time
(June 9th) The Mean One was in Nashville, TN at the Douglas Corner Cafe watching the showcases. Ahhh, vacation sounds good!
(June 5th) Mean Marc returned to Tarboro, NC, this time under the banner of the NCWA! Ash tied up with Trailer Park Heat. A superkick later MMA walked away a winner!
(May 29th) Marc returned to Charleston, SC to wrestle for the first time in 12 years! Mean Marc Ash had a very competitive match against Mack Truck. Outside interference & a choke slam later Ash fell to defeat.

(May 8th) The Mean One did battle with the HUGE monster known as Bloodlust! Ash retained the title but this battle isn't over.
(April 17th) Mean Marc made an appearance for the ACCW promotion in Rocky Point, NC. Ash fought Leo Alure to a double count out! Look for this feud to continue.
(March 20th) ICW champion Mean Marc Ash defended the ICW title aginst Duke Rcihards. In what was a hard fought battle, Ash retained the title.
(February 21st)Mean Marc Ash regained the ICW world title. He had to defeat 2 opponent to do so! Ash defeated Flex Phenom in an outstanding match that determined who would face Dark Starr for the title at the end of the evening. Ash defeated Dark Starr & claimed the title for the 10th time. Ash had shoved referee Adam Brookshire around all night & when awarded the belt he struck Brookshire with the belt. When Brookshire retained his composure he issued a challenge to Ash to a match! Ash reluctantly accepted as he was laughing his rear end off. Ash then stated just to make things interesting he insisted it be a title match! Brookshire shocked Ash with an arm drag & then go behind which Ash reversed & then reversed by Brookshire & a trip. Ash was mad att his point & then wiped the mat with referee Brookshire.
(February 7th) Mean Marc teamed with Canadian wrestler Quinson Valentino to take on SCW tag champions Seymour Snott & Dexter Poindexter. Ash & Valentino controlled most of the match but fell to defeat to a double schoolboy roll up. Ash & Valentino were good team & worked well together I don't think we've seen the last of these two.
2003 News
(November 22nd) The Mean One suffered a broken pinky finger on his right hand in a hard fought victory over Trailer Park Heat on ICW's Turn On The Night card in Holly Ridge, NC.
(November 13th) MMA defeated Dark Starr in a back and forth, hard fought battle in Roseboro, NC.
(September 20th) MMA travelled to Raleigh, NC to see another KISS concert!
(September 6th) MMA lost the ICW title to Duke Richards in controversial fashion. Ash missed a splash & knocked out the referr (Adam Brookshire) & then hit the "Ashkicker" only to have no referee to count. Ash tried to revive the referee & was rolled up by Duke Richards. ICW Commissioner Don Brower entered the ring & made a 3 count which awarded the match & the belt to Richards. MMA then attacked the referee, Dark Starr ran in & tried to calm down MMA, who just left Starr in the ring. After Dark Starr defeated Blood Lust, MMA entered the ring to congratualte Starr but, instead attacked him. Starr cahllenged Ash for a match later that same evening! Ash & Starr then battled to a double disqulification.
(August 6th) MMA underwent an MRI. Tendon damage is ruled out.
(July 23rd)MMA is told that the achilles tendon in his left foot may be partially torn. An MRI is scheduled for August 6th to the true extent of the damage & what actions will be needed to remedy the situation.
(July 12th)MMA made a rare appearance in SCW at the Indian's Stadium in Burlington, NC. Ash was involved in a 3 way that included Scotty Matthews (formerly Malaki) & Slick Rick Converse.
(June 29th)Ash defended the ICW heavyweight title in a falls count anywhere match against Tre G. These two had an unforgettable match a year or so back at the New Hanover County Fair. This encounter didn't disappoint either. Ash pinned Tre G.
(June 28th)Ash defended the ICW heavyweight title against Lotus. In a back & forth match that had just turned Ash's way, he was attacked by Duke Richards! This is sure to be a bloody feud!
(May 9th)MMA was robbed of the CREW heavyweight title in Edenton, NC in his match with The Stro! That's the only way we can put it. Look for a rematch soon as their is defiantely bad blood here.
(Dec. 14th)MMA was in Murfreesboro, NCtaking on Ivan Koloff in the dreaded Russian Chain Match. Ivan almost had MMA to to the fourth corner, when Badd Company cohorts James Reno & Chuck King entered the ring to stop that attempt & they all started dragging Ivan around the ring to touch the corners, but what they didn't see was that Ivan was touching the corners too! Nitestic Eddie Brown then charged the ring as the trio almost had Ivan to the fourth corner & drug Reno & CK out of the ring and a slug fest ensued. MMA turned to the outside to cheer his partners on, Ivan then rushed Ash & they fell into the fourth corner. Ivan touched the corner & the referee declared Koloff the winner of the bout. Ash became enraged & attacked Ash & CK joined in as the two were unmercifally beating Koloff, both locker rooms cleared & a wild brawl ensued. The ring announcer then announced that the battle royal for the C.R.E.W. heavyweight title would begin since all the combatants were already in the ring. The bout came down to Badd Company (MMA, CK, & Reno) & Ivan Koloff as the last four men in the ring. Ivan started swinging his chain but MMA manged to get bhind IVan & got the chain away & threw it out of the ring. CK & Reno rushed Ivan in the corner but Ivan ducked & managed to throw both men from the ring. Then Ivan stalked MMA. Badd Company manager Dr. Tom Rouse, then went to work & tied up the referee. Ivan was then grabbed from the outside by CK & Reno and pulled fromthe ring. Dr. Rouse then turned the referee around to see MMA as the last man in the ring. The referee declared MMA the winner & new C.R.E.W. cahmpion.
(Nov. 30th)Ash's hit single has dropped a little in the charts but today it has risen again! AT #38 with a bullett! Ash plans to release his next single by the end of next week!
(Nov. 27th)Mean Marc Ash's single hit the MP3.com's Classic Rock Charts at #26 with a double bullett! Be on the lookout for Ash's next release!
(Nov. 25th)Mean Marc recorded & released a music single. A cover of KISS's "Rock and Roll All Nite".
(Nov. 2nd)Mean Marc found his way to the Kenansville Memorial Auditorium. Home of some of the old Jim Crockett Promotions greatest shows in the 70's & 80's! Mean Marc fell to defeat after being hit with a chain at the hands of Cold Cash D. These guys worked really well together. Expect to see these two tie up again.
(Oct. 19th)Mean Marc returned to his hometown of Wilmington, NC to do battle with Flex Phenom! Ash defended the ICW world title against the monster! Ash was attacked from behind & Flex controlled the majority of the match! However, Ash came back & hit a great powerbomb & was then attacked by Lotus! As the two worked Ash over The Stro ran in for the save! Ash then recovered as he & Stro cleaned house! This match is available on the ICW's Into the Fire DVD soon to be available on the www.icwpro.com!
(Oct. 12th)Mean Marc Ash took on hardcore wrestler Justin Drive in Burgaw, NC! Ash used wrestling moves but ended the match by executing his Ashkicker (sit down power bomb) on a chair! That was more than enough to put Justin one the short "Drive" to the losers side of the pay window!
(Oct. 6th)The Mean One returned to Riverfest for a second day! His first match was a 3 way dance! Ash, Hangtime, & Tre-G all did battle! Ash & Hangtime were dual winners as they BOTH pinned Tre-G but Ash attacked Hangtime after the match! Then a battle royal for the vacant ACCW heavyweight title was decided between the last 2 men in the ring Mean Marc Ash & The Stro! Stro ducked a running clothesline & was eliminated by Stro! Ash then defeated Hangtime by DQ, after interference by Tre-G was ignored & The Stro ran in to save the Hangtime. The referee DQ'd Hangtime for Stro's interference!
(Oct. 5th)The Mean One wrestled in Wilmington, NC at the Riverfest festival with the ACCW! 3 different shows! Mean Marc defeated "Raider" Tre=g in the first show, then he wrestled Flex Phenom for his newly won ACCW TV title. Ash lost due to dubious circumstances regarding a crooked referee & being hit in the head with the TV title belt! However, Ash rallied back in the 3rd segment to defeat Big Edd!
(Sept. 29th)Mean Marc returned t the W.O.W. wrestling promotion in Goldsboro, NC! Ash once again faced C.R. Smooth! Once again the Ashkicker put Smooth out! However, The Mean One was scheduled to fight Flex Phenom. Ash showed his disgust & attacked Flex in his match! Look for the October 19th showdown of these to really set off some fireworks!
(Sept. 22nd)Just picked up a copy of the latest PWI 500 compilation. Mean Marc came in this year for the 7th year. This year he is #344. His highest rating thus far has been #242!
(Sept. 21st)Mean Marc returned to ACCW action in Castle Hayne, NC. In a see saw match-up with Lotus, The Mean One connected with new Ashkicker and got the three count! However, it turned out that Lotus had his foot on the rope. Mean Marc argued with the referee that the 3 count should stand but Lotus got his composure & kicked Ash & hit a Juvi Driver to get the win. This feud is far from over.
(Sept. 10th)The Mean One is back in the saddle as the ICW world champion. ICW officials finally reviewed the tapes! Here is the report taken off the ICW website...ICW Pro Wrestling's Executive Vice President Pete Noel has changed the decision of a match that took place a little over 2 months ago. Since ICW mainly operates in the Carolinas and Mr. Noel resides and runs things from his home in Ronkonkoma, NY it took a while for a copy of the video tape to reach his desk. Here is the official release....After ICW EVP Pete Noel finally got to review tapes of the June 15th title changes he has reversed the decision on the ICW world title match between Mean Marc Ash & Viper. Mr. Noel stated, "This was not a no disqualification match and the interference from J. Marcus Lawson took place right in front of the referee. While the scene was crazy and I have no idea who Lawson was there to help, it still warrants the match being thrown out. Therefore, Mean Marc Ash resumes the role as ICW champion."
(Sept 7th)Mean Marc took a ride to Wilson, NC & got in the ring with a suplex machineknown as Pitbull Steve Locke. Locke is an amateur standout & he & the Mean One started the match mat wrestling. After several reversals and counters Ash finally shown why he is the Mean One & kicked Locke below the belt! After a superplex & a shot to head with a clipboard Mean Marc finally decided to plant the Ashkicker & get the 1-2-3!
(Aug 10th)Mean Marc Ash went to Saratoga, NC again. This time he was scheduled to face C.R. Smooth. Ash got in the ring & he manager Dr. Tom Rouse took the mic & ridiculed Smooth for wearing a pair of mothers underwear to the ring. After Ash & Smooth traded insult on the mic the match got underway. Ash hit the NEW & IMPROVED Ashkicker & Smooth wasn't Smooth enough to kick out! Mean Marc is back on the title hunt! Viper can't hide for long!
(July 13th)Mean Marc returned to the IWA in Saratoga, UNSCHEDULED & was called out to wrestler Steve Michaels. Ash debuted the new & improved Ashkicker in this match also! It was devastating!

(June 15th)ICW's Flirtin with Disaster was a night to remember! Classic action up & down the card. Mean Marc Ash lost the ICW title to Viper due to interference from J. Marcus Lawson!
(June 8th)Mean Marc Ash travelled to Saratoga, NC again. This time he squared of with Sidewinder Bobby Austin. This match was a calssic that Ash won with the figure four! These 2 need to lock up again!
(May 18th)Mean Marc Ash travelled once again to Saratoga, NC's Danger Zone to do combat with Romeo. Romeo got the win inthis non title bout!
(May 11th)Ash competed on 2 shows! The first was IWA action in Rocky Mount, NC. Ash defeated Romeo! The Mean One then travelled to Castle Hayne, NC for the ACCW. Ash faced Boris Dragoff, Ash emerged victorious by DQ.
(May 4th)Mean Marc returned to the UPWC for the first time since Dec. when he defeated Shane West for the UPWC title & was immediately stripped. Ash advanced in the tournament to the final 4 of the Carolina's title by finishing in the top 4 of a battle roayl of contenders. Ash then later competed in a 4 man elimination match also featuring J. Marcus Lawson, Shane West, & Chuck King. Ash emerged victorious!
(April 20th)Burgaw, NC saw another meeting Ash & Krash. Ash fell to defeat in ACCW action!
(April 13th)Mean Marc returned to Saratoga for another round of ICW TV tapings. The Mean One tangled with Romeo!
(March 23rd)ICW TV Taping & IWA show in Saratoga, NC went great. Mean Marc Ash defeated NOS with the figure 4 leglock. He then answered a challenge issued by Steve Michaels to anyone in the locker room & emerged victorious there as well!
(January 23rd)Mean Marc announced today that he would not be making his Jan. 26th appearance in Gastonia, NC. His neck & back have been giving him problems again. He could not get an appointment in with the doctor until Feb. 8th, he has stated he will not wrestle before seeing the doctor for a prognosis as the condition has worsened.
(January 17th)Mean Marc said today that the 2002 show dates will not be the customary "Here Comes Trouble Tour" but, will instead be "The Farewell Tour". Expect The Mean One to explain this in an upcoming "In My Corner". Is this truly his last year or will he follow in the footsteps of his favorite band KISS and start the tour that never ends?
(January 4th)Mean Marc will wrestle in the month of January after all! On January 26th Gastonia, NC will be the site of the first battle between the Mean One & Cage. This will be a battle everyone needs to see! It should be a classic!
(January 1st)Mean Marc announces that he plans to take the month of January off. Stating, "I was on the road for roughly 40 weekends last year. I need some rest & relaxation time. I'm currently building up my stock portfolio, now is the time to buy!"
