(May 30, 2010) Ok, the online "war" between greg price & well, basicallyjust Greg Price has ridiculous written all over it.

I log onto my facebook accounta couple of days ago & see Price ranting & raving about Ric Flair. Price is adamant that he doesn't owe Ric Flair any money, yadda yadda, yadda. But, this had all the earmarkings of a train wreck that was going to be too funny to turn away from.

Price goes onto explain that some mark, who later identified himself in Price's Facebook tirades, told Price that he had asked Flair if he was going to be at the Charlotte fanfest this year & that Flair had replied by saying no & then something along the lines that Price still owed him money from last year.

Price goes onto explain that there was a written agreement in effect that had Price actually paying Highspots so that Highspots recouped the money they claim Flair owes them. He then goes onto say that Flair scoffed at the agreement & basically held Price up at the fanfest event & he had to pay Flair directly instead of paying Highspots per the written agreement that was in place with all the parties. OK, this is where I reallystart laughing. Price continues saying that Highspots got screwed by Flair & he didn't make good on any of the money that Flair owes them that would have been paid off through this deal.

Price wrote, "Well, within a few weeks after that, the overseas trip got cancelled and the opportunity was again possible to reunite the Horsemen. With no agent, I began dealing with Michael at Highspots. Michael had just done the Ric Flair shoot interview, and was in possession of the NWA belt you asked about, looking for ways to retrieve his money as Flair had not made good on a previous loan from Michael. It was Michael that negotiated the deal that allowed Flair to be at fanfest last year, the second year in a row, and our 3-way agreement was in writing. Flair was cognizant of everything. There was no middle man in the deal. Michael and I dealt with him directly. The deal was that I paid Flair a portion of his fee up front, with the balance paid to Michael at fanfest, so Michael was getting paid back on his loan without it coming directly out of Flair's pocket."

Business 101 Greg...Flair no longer owes them the money..YOU DO!! If you signed the deal stating that you would pay Mike (Highspots) & instead paid Flair, guess what, you violated the agreement regardless if it was actually at the bequest of Flair. Sounds like Flair is a little shrewder a business man than we were beginning to think with all the recent rumors & rumors of financial troubles.

The other part I found to be hilarious was when price wrote, "Part of our written agreement was that Flair would induct Blackjack Mulligan into our Hall of Heroes last year, basically the "main event" of our banquet. I don't need to remind you guys that we went way over on time with the Horsemen signing, which delayed the start of the banquet.
Well, once everyone is in and seated and during the dinner portion, Ric and his then-fiance Jackie and son Reid were outside of the largest ballroom in the foyer area between the two bathrooms (those of you that have been here before will know where that's at.) It's an open area and folks were going back and forth to the bathrooms. (On a side note, I'd love to be able to find someone that may have walked by at the time and witnessed any of this.) I was confronted by Ric, not the friendly and helpful Ric that he'd been to me previously, but the same Ric that I saw confront Michael earlier in the day. He was animated. He was loud. I tried several times to get him to lower his voice or go somewhere in private to speak but he wouldn't budge. He was not only holding me up for more money (which I'll get to in a moment,) but he wanted to make sure that I gave him the money that was to be paid to Michael per our written agreement.
That night, that moment, I came face to face with evil. I will never look at that guy the same way again. I'd grown up idolizing this guy and here he is jumping up and down like a spoiled brat, screaming and hollering, not just to me but in front of fans and everyone else. And if you can picture the place where I describe this as happening, you know it's just outside the doors of the Hall of Heroes ceremony.
He wanted to be paid the money that was supposed to go to Michael, and he wanted more money on top of that, or he was going to "Leave right now." Honestly, in hindsight, I should've let him walk. Anyone that's ever tried to hold me up before, I've let them walk. But to give you an idea of what I'm thinking, our autograph session with the Horsemen went way over, I have many items from fans that are still waiting on his signature, and I have his mailorder stuff that is yet to be done. So if he walked then, I'd be giving a lot of money back to a lot of angry fans. So I agreed."

Yes, that was a long quote but, I wanted to share the entire thing. The real part I find extremely hard to believe here is, with as much stuff that hits YouTube, DailyMotion, MySpace Video, & other sites from your fanfest shows, why in the hell is there not even one cell phone video of any of this? Flair blowing a gasket in front of fans such as you describe over money...and yet no one thinks to shoot at least a few seconds of it? Mind boggling.

Now, in no way am I stating that Price owes Flair anything nor am I stating Flair did or did not make this claim. But, a mark approaches Flair at a TNA promoted fanfest...was Flair working the mark? Or is the mark just full of crap & is just getting a rise out of you.

If everything Price has stated is 100% entirely true, guess who is looking like the laughing stock..Greg Price. Price is taking what ONE fan relayed to him & went on a full out INTERNET assault, instead of first contacting Flair in regards to what he did or didn't say. That's what I would have done. Price states he regrets idolizing Flair as he was growing up to this event. I idolized Flair too but, also growing up in & around the business, I'm not surprised by anything these guys say or do. I was also around the music industry growing up & the fact of the matter is, all these guys are just like you..out for no one but theirself. You don't put on these fanfests for the sake of the fans nor the wrestlers, you put them on to fill your pockets. If you told everyone that has ever tried to hold you up to go ahead & walk, why would Flair be any different?

The very first show I ever ran someone tried to hold me up. I didn't cave in & never caved in at any other time either. I never short changed anyone either. Now Greg, I'm not saying you owe anyone anything. I'm not saying Flair owes anyone anything. I'm not saying that you are lying, not saying Flair is lying, fact of the matter is I don't know & don't really care but, your story has several large holes in it, just saying...
